The author addresses in her recent book hostility towards strangers and radicalisation, hatred for "the" state and violence in Eastern Germany. She refers to the orders of secrecy in the context of National Socialism and World War II as well as the origin of new (political) tales within the historiography of GDR and FRG after 1989/90.
