"After ten years of happy marriage it suddenly strikes Gerda Wagner, mother of two children, to try a career as a pop singer. A chance encounter of the former voice student with still beautiful voice and the idolised, Italian singer Fabiani revived her old dream. Now she does her utmost to realise it – very much to her husband Gustl's anger, manager of a department store's record section. The Jeaolusy of Fabiani pushes him towards alcohol which in turn pushes him into the variety in which Gerda is already very successful.
