Widower with Five Daughters:

"Castle Manager Friedrich Scherzer is a warm-hearted although slightly overchallenged ather who has to raise his five daughters all by himself after his wife's death. Since he takes his profession very seriously the parental duties miss out and the hired housekeepers often quit their jobs already after a short time as well. When little Jule fall ill, the neighbour, Miss Hansen, moves in temporarily to look after the child. But shortly after that, strict Madam Nessel visits the Scherzers on behalf of the Youth Welfare Service to check if everything is in order. Scherzer suspects Miss Hansen by mistake to have made an official complaint. And just as the jazz-keen daughters throw a dance-party in the castle, the American owner of the castle, Mr. Pepperkorn, appears and sacks Mr. Scherzer. Now all stops need to be pulled out to straighten out everything again." (Source: filmportal.deExternal link)
