In the course, we will read a selection of different poems and short stories written in Hebrew from the past 100 years. We will discuss various linguistic issues regarding Modern Hebrew and Literary Hebrew.
We will read works of the following poets:

- David Avidan (1934–1995)
- Dalia Ravikovitz (1936–2005)
- Yona Wallach (1944–1985)
- Anna Herman (1973–)
And the following short story writers:
- Esther Rab (1894–1981)
- Efraim Kishon (1924–2005)
- Orly Castel-Bloom (1960–)
- Etgar Keret (1967–)
- Eshkol Nevo (1971–)
